1. Holland – Keukenhof

Mention Holland and most people would associate the country with windmills and fields of beautiful tulips. Indeed, the country is home to one of the biggest flower parks in the world – Keukenhof. Home to over 7 million bulbs with a total of 800 varieties of tulips, you can be assured of quite a unique and unforgettable experience!

Besides the spacious 32 hectares of flowers, there will be inspirational gardens, colourful floral displays that change every week, sightseeing flights you can take and lots of kids’ activities for your child.

2. London - Chelsea Flower Show

Also known as the Great Spring Show, the Chelsea Flower Show is a garden show held for five days in May by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London. Other than enjoying a floral feast, the event will be of interest to horticulturalists. With a variety of gardens centred around different themes and usage, you will be promised a host of new ideas for your own gardens!

3. Florida - Epcot International Garden and Flower Festival

Located within the grounds of Disneyland, there is something for everyone in the family. From dozens of world-renowned, Disney-themed topiaries, inspirational exhibits to breathtaking garden and wildlife habitats, you’ll not regret the trip here!

4. Japan - Lavender Fields

Cherry blossoms are not the only flowers you can see in Japan! In fact, cherry blossoms are notoriously hard to catch, given that they only have a few days to bloom. An alternative to flower-viewing in Japan is paying a visit to the lovely lavender fields up north in Hokkaido during the summer months. Furano and Biei are two of Hokkaido’s best-known places where colourful flower fields are located.

5. South Korea - Cherry Blossoms and Taean Tulip Festival

Do you know that there are many other countries in the world where you can see cherry blossoms as well? Korea is one of them; in fact, there are several areas where you can see the beautiful pink blossoms, including the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival which sees around 2 million visitors annually.

There’s also the Taean World Tulip Festival, which is in fact named one of the top 5 tulip festivals in the world by the World Tulip Summit. Tulip lovers no longer need to travel to Holland anymore to enjoy the sea of blooms!

6. Oregon - Portland Rose Festival

The Portland Rose Festival has over a hundred years of history and started as an event to brand Portland as the “Summer Capital of the World”. Not only will you get to see the Annual Spring Rose Show that exhibits more than 4,000 blooms, you’d also enjoy the Grand Floral Parade along with a host of exciting events.

7. Beijing - Peach Blossoms and Tulips

Cherry, peach and plum blossoms - what are the differences? These three flowers are all spring flowers but can be differentiated by the shapes of their petals and slight nuance in their colour. If you’ve seen cherry blossoms before, how about enjoying the peach blossoms in Beijing for a change? You can even kill two birds with one stone by catching the tulips over at Zhongshan Park in Beijing within the same trip.
