Our travel insurance package offered at DirectAsia includes coverage for the following, subject to stated cover limits and traveller requirements:

Under our travel insurance policy, we will also pay you for any additional economy class transport expenses and any reasonable standard hotel room costs if your overseas trip is necessarily and unavoidably disrupted in cases where the unforeseen circumstance occurs after you’ve already commenced your insured trip.

Our travel insurance also provides coverage for theft, loss, or accidental damage to your personal possessions during your insured trip. We will also cover the expenses required if you find yourself in need of replacing essential travel documents, and cover any loss of personal money in the case where you are a victim of theft during your insured overseas trip. Even the delayed arrival of your belongings due to transit complications will be compensated by DirectAsia at $200 for every full 6 hours of delay.

DirectAsia’s travel insurance also provides coverage for any medical expenses reasonably and necessarily incurred for medical treatment while you’re on your insured overseas trip. If follow-up treatment is required upon your return to Singapore, we will also cover the related medical expenses for a maximum of 30 days from your return

You can also rest assured that, during your insured overseas trip, you’ll receive the best medical attention needed if you were to suffer any injury or illness that requires emergency medical attention. Our travel insurance coverage means you won’t have to pay to move to another location or for your return to Singapore for the needed medical treatment. Repatriation is also covered by our overseas travel insurance package at DirectAsia.

With our travel insurance, a lump sum payout will also be given for any injury suffered during your insured trip that solely and directly results in loss of limbs, loss of sight, permanent total disablement or your death. While nobody wishes for the worst, it is only wise and responsible to ensure that those who depend upon your ability to work are sufficiently covered if anything were to happen while you are on your insured overseas trip.
