Natas Travel Fair 2014: Inspiring Holiday Ideas - DirectAsia

Recent data from Google’s Year End Zeitgeist revealed that Singaporeans’ taste in holiday destinations hasn’t changed much over 2013. The information on search trends highlighted Legoland Malaysia as the most searched-for destination – as it was in 2012.

The usual-suspect urban destinations featured in the top ten, including Hong Kong (3rd), Taiwan (6th), Penang (10th) as well as Bangkok (5th), although this latter city may now figure in searches for less fortuitous reasons.

But the beaches of South East Asia were on the minds of many a Singaporean in 2013, with five of the top 10 searches related to coastal resorts that included Bali (2nd) and Langkawi (8th).

Langkawi Malaysia

The Maldives (4th), Bintan (7th) and Krabi (9th) completed the top ten.

But if you’re keen to break with the norm for your next vacation, then a visit to the Natas (National Association of Travel Agents Singapore) Travel Fair 2014 may be in order.

Along with a variety of exhibits showcasing some of the world’s lesser known resorts and beauty spots, Natas has organised a number of live performances. Okinawan performance artists, a Hello Kitty show, Korean non-verbal dancing and the Datun Julud or Hornbill Dance from Sarawak are just some of the treats awaiting visitors from 28th of February to the 2nd of March.

February 28 – March 2, 10am-930pm daily

Venue: Singapore EXPO, Hall 3, 4 & 5A

Entry: S$4.00

A number of promotions and a prize draw should add to the excitement of the event, where you can not only get ideas for your next vacation, but make a booking too.
