Third-Party Only (TPO) Car Insurance

Third-Party Only (TPO) Coverage

Basic protection to get you on the road

Our Third-Party Only (TPO) insurance coverage plan meets the minimum legal requirement to drive under Singapore law. This plan is popular among budget-conscious drivers, but doesn’t offer full coverage.

Our Third-Party Only insurance plan is more affordable than our other levels of coverage, but it also offers the least protection. This plan only pays when you've damaged another person's car. You will be responsible for any repairs to your own vehicle or any medical bills incurred in the likelihood of a car accident that is ruled to be your fault. Many things are not covered unlike our Comprehensive plan. For example, you will not be insured against fire and theft. Nor will you be insured against car damage due to natural disasters like floods and fallen trees that occur with some frequency in Singapore. You will also not have access to the full suite of add-on optional benefits compared to our other coverage plans.

When do we recommend a Third-Party Only plan:

Our Third-Party Only plan offers basic protection. Therefore it is recommended to drivers of cars at the end of their COE life as well as those who are experienced and familiar with the roads of Singapore. A TPO insurance might also be an option to consider if you rarely use your car, or if you only use your car for safe and short trips with minimal risks of car accidents.
